Yahoo directory offers paid and free listings for websites. The processing time for submissions is much faster than Dmoz in most categories.

The categories are uncluttered and the organising is excellent. But some feel that it carries less weight than the Dmoz though. Dont expect much traffic, but it will help your yahoo rankings.

If you want to look up what a specific website looked like in the past, this site is the place to go.

They take more than a year to archive sites, so dont expect any new sites to be on there. If you are buying a site or a domain, checking its archives gives you an idea about its past.

Dmoz is one of the top human edited directories in the web. Google gives this directory authority status and therefore just about every website listed there get some boost in their credibility if they are listed on Dmoz.

The only problem is that they can take some time to list the sites (sometimes even 2 years).
